Job Description

Dynata develops innovative online market research and advertising technologies that deliver instant audience access to market researchers and advertisers. We're looking for someone who is passionate about solving complex problems on a daily basis and is inspired to work alongside designers to see their solutions come to life. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with independent self-direction, strong technical know-how coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication.

By developing new and innovative products, you'll help Dynata advance its technological strengths while challenging the industry to see opportunities it hadn't yet noticed. It will demand good data analytics skills, excellent ability to understand technical systems, creative problem-solving skills, as well as a proven good taste in design. You will be outlining features that will lead our products into the future, and working closely with stakeholders and developers to see your proposed solutions and designs through development. Success in this role will greatly depend on good communication skills and keen curiosity.

The Platform Analyst works with members of the wider Transformation team, and most closely supports Platform Managers. The Platform Analyst reports to VP Transformation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand all aspects of the growingDynata demand platform and the fit for purpose UIs in today's reality and the future state plan

  • Assist in the development of the strategic vision for your product, delivering an engaging customer experience with a feature set that enables the vision

  • Be an evangelist for stakeholders' needs

  • Assist with the design of smart and highly optimized solutions to system problems that take into consideration both, the technical feasibility and general usability; continuously striving to simplify product design

  • Assist with the process to document functionality needs for tech use in the form of user stories that describe what the product feature needs to do, why (revenue impact/cost savings), what the acceptance criteria is, what the OKRs are, the KPIs, and any reporting needs

  • Develop and maintain documentation of product functionality and build training materials for Dynata's internal and in collaboration with others, external customers

  • Participate in UA testing and pilot testing

  • Assist in training execution

  • Assist in developing strategies and tactics to support product adoption and stakeholder change management

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders during roll out phases to empathetically support their change management, achieving adoption within established timelines

  • Actively monitor core metrics to proactively identify issues and ensure that products are working correctly and/or are being used correctly

  • Creatively troubleshoot issues to find solutions, especially non-technical solutions

  • Help colleagues make best use of key system functionalities to support identified high revenue project opportunities and as a representative with cross functional initiatives; building trust in the tools

  • Keep current with the latest sales strategies and products sold

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong data analytic skills.

  • A background in data driven decision making and working with data to solve problems

  • Solutions orientation, not afraid of taking complex project challenges and turning them into opportunities to showcase product strength

  • Ability to perform qualitative research with users and other stakeholders

  • Great curiosity and an exciting drive to satisfy that curiosity

  • Excellent communication skills. A great ability to articulate complex ideas and to translate technical documentation/language for business professional colleagues and customers

  • Ability to work effectively as a cross functional team member, representing platform interests, to build consensus and drive results

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in preferred disciplines of business, communications, marketing, economics, public relations, statistics, computer sciences

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a product management organization OR at least 2 years' experience working in Dynata's project management organization obtaining SME level with neXus and the desire to take this knowledge to drive change and innovation for the platform

The base salary range for this position in is $55K-$70K/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A discretionary incentive program may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and other benefits, dependent on full-time employment status.
