CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Designer to join our Power & Manufacturing - Advanced Energy/Advanced Manufacturing Team at our office in Fort Washington, PA.

At CHA, our Electrical Designer is responsible for the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and/or documents. The professional in this role collaborates with senior engineering designers, mentors junior engineering designers and collaborates with design teams on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

The Electrical Designer produces and revises routine drawings or sketches related to the engineering design with minimal oversight from senior staff, and is familiar with company standards, client expectations and typical engineering practices. This individual prepares project "As-Builts" documentation, and field assignments when appropriate. Additionally, the Electrical Designer uses drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.) to create construction documents.

REQUIREMENTS
    Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field required
  • Minimum 4 years' experience of document production experience in the related engineering discipline
  • Experience in designing control panels, single lines, panel schedules and loop diagrams required
  • Industrial design experience required
  • Demonstrates a solid working knowledge about the respective engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E and NEC
  • Proficient with discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
