Could you be the full-time onsite Manufacturing Engineering Director in West Mifflin, PA, US we're looking for?


Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive engineering leadership expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll lead the charge in optimizing product and process design for manufacturability, ensuring that our engineering practices set industry benchmarks. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (including process engineers, project managers, and quality assurance), spearhead the standardization of industrial processes, and much more."

We'll look to you for:

  • Managing the staff capacity and competencies,

  • Ensuring that the industrial assumptions (PIO, MoB, Macro-process) are defined in line with industrial Reflib and SMP/SML of the product range at the tender phase,

  • Ensuring the implementation of the standard processes and the standard product solutions: SMP/SML, standard equipment, standard solutions during project execution,

  • Validating the quotation relative to the industrial costs during the tender phase,

  • Ensuring co-engineering methodology and rules are followed-up to optimize lead time and quality of development,

  • Ensuring documentation and ERP data are complete, on time, and with the good level of quality,

  • Driving continuous improvement actions and support production


All about you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Technology, or a related field.,

  • 5 years of experience or understanding of management in a related field, with a preference for a background in the railway industry.,

  • Industrial background with 10 years' experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization.

  • Knowledge of Process Engineering, including writing and improving manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, and Lean Manufacturing.,

  • Demonstrated capability in driving continuous improvement actions and supporting production.,

  • Experience in ensuring product safety and reliability through the management of Special Processes and critical operations.,

  • A commitment to managing the EHS requirements in the field of industrialization.,

  • Familiarity with an ERP system such as SAP for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up.
