JOB SUMMARY

This position reporting to the PRI Quality Manager with dotted line accountability to other business unit leaders on a project basis is responsible to evaluate and improve business unit quality management systems to comply with industry standard/specification requirements and external stakeholder needs.

Leads improvement activities related to changes to accreditation and product offering standards and specifications. Responsible for business unit level quality framework and metrics. Works closely and collaboratively with business unit Quality representatives to maintain continuity between and within Quality Management Systems.

Highly skilled in project management and requirement interpretation. Demonstrates keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-motivation to accomplish tasks. Acts with a sense of urgency to identify and resolve production issues. The Quality Product Lead must be impartial, fair, and set the standard for personal ethics, conduct, and openness.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Business Unit Quality Management Systems (QMSs)
    • Review external industry standard/specification revisions related to accreditations and product offerings and interpret change impact.
    • Perform gap analysis of business unit QMSs related to industry standard/specification changes.
    • Strategize and implement QMS improvements to maintain compliance with industry standard/specification requirements.
    • Be knowledgeable of quality system requirements and provide support on quality related inquiries.
    • Develop quality metrics and reports at the business unit level.
    • Actively lead continuous improvement projects to evolve business unit QMSs.
    • Design and improve business unit QMS frameworks.
    • Management multiple complex QMS projects simultaneously.
  • PRI Quality
    • Facilitate and support PRI change management and risk evaluation related to change efforts.
    • Contribute to establishing, measuring, and maintaining PRI quality objectives and metrics including alignment between PRI and business unit quality management systems.
    • Identify and complete continuous improvement projects for PRI quality.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years' experience in quality related activities with emphasis on Quality standards/specifications gap analysis.
  • Demonstrated skills in project management and quality system development.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written, phone and e-mail.
  • Strong computer and data analysis skills and ability to work with relevant computer application programs including web based collaborative platforms.
  • Ability to think critically (observe, analyze, interpret, reflect, explain), problem solve, and make decisions.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks/projects on time.
  • Displays original thinking, creativity, and agility; meets challenges with resourcefulness; develops innovative approaches and ideas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional quality related credential e.g., ASQ CQA.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel when needed (less than 10%)
  • Ability to read/review and comprehend documents.
  • Ability to work for long periods at a computer/desk.
  • Standard office environment.
