Hill International is seeking a Lead Construction Inspector in Bensalem, Pennsylvania

• Coordinate and supervise project inspection activities to ensure compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and contract provisions.
• Plan and assign inspection staff daily inspection duties and lead inspection teams.
• Be proactive and alert project management professionals to issues that may come up in the field and provide solutions to mitigate those problems.
• Review and ensure inspection staffs daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely.
• Prepare summary inspection reports of daily activities.
• Monitor the contractor's work progress and schedule.
• Attend project meetings as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (may be substituted for experience).
• 4+ years of Transportation, Highway or Bridge Construction Inspection Experience.
• NICET Level 3 or higher in Transportation Highway Construction.
• Supervisory experience in construction management or inspection projects is preferred.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
• Preferred but not required certifications - ACI Concrete Field Technician, PennDOT concrete, NECEPT Bituminous Field Technician.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle.
• Basic computer skills to use an electronic tablet and computer for reviewing construction drawings/specifications and completing project documentation are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Communication - Both verbal and writing skills are required.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be physically able to perform moderately strenuous tasks which includes walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work hours may include day and/or night shift work, and weekends, based on the type of operation taking place.
