Overview

Physical Therapist to be Center Manager

in Thorndale, PA

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Thorndale PA is seeking a FULL time physical therapist for our dynamic outpatient orthopedics and sports center. An ideal physical therapist (PT) has at least ONE year of experience in outpatient orthopedics, since position has management potential. We have a variety of specialty programs and a PT with interest in growing is of the utmost importance. Specialty services of focus include orthopedics, vestibular and concussion on top of neuro, sports medicine, fall prevention and an ACL program. This is a full time 40 hour work week with two evenings until 7pm with short Friday and NO WEEKEND requirements. Multiple licensed physical therapists are on staff as this is a lead physical therapist opportunity in your community.

Compensation: Salary range is $75,000-$90,000/yr based on your experience.

Responsibilities
  • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
  • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary.
  • Strong clinical and mentoring/teaching skills (includes junior PTs and student PT/PTAs as well as local continuing education programs.).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with existing referral sources attending office visits, observing surgery, or attending rounds.
Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy
  • Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
  • Minimum of two to three years of clinical experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift. Must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
  • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate reporting, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of electronic equipment.
  • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
