We are seeking to add an Engineer to our world class Philadelphia based Commissioning (Cx) Team that performs and provides technical consultation. This includes but is not limited to, new construction testing for fortune 500 companies mostly within the mid-Atlantic region, with occasional nation-wide projects. Projects include data centers, commercial buildings, high-rise infrastructure, hospitals, educational facilities, technical laboratories and mixed-use buildings. Testing scope typically includes critical building systems (Chiller Plants, Boiler Plants, various HVAC Systems, associated BAS / Controls, Lighting Controls, Electrical Distribution, Domestic Hot Water System). Project requirements vary but include Code-Required Cx, Mission-Critical Testing, and LEED Fundamental and Enhanced Cx services. Energy management solutions, and systemic and component troubleshooting are also included in our Cx services.

Primary responsibilities will include:

* Perform commissioning and hands on testing of mechanical equipment.

* Write reports for completed testing

* On-the-job and formal industry training included

* National travel for short durations to complete Commissioning & Testing activities at client sites.

The basic requirements for this position include:

* 3 to 5 years of experience as a commissioning engineer.

* BS in Engineering preferably Mechanical or Electrical (similar qualification/experience may be considered)

* Hands on experience with electrical equipment testing, HVAC and controls is preferred

* Strong knowledge of building MEP systems

* Ability to work in office and client sites (new construction and existing facilities)

* Proficient technical writing skills (proposals, test scripts and reports)

* Detail oriented and effective communication skills (written and verbal)

* Willing to work various hours (days, nights and weekends)

* EIT/PE/CPMP or industry certification is a plus

* Thermography Scanning Certification a plus

* SKM Power System Software experience a plus (i.e. Short Circuit Studies)

* Military background in electrical system operation and repair a plus.

* Hardworking and self-motivated, with a desire to learn and solve problems

* Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Candidates for this position will be required to pass a 7-year background check (no felonies, no financial frauds) as well as a drug screening.as required by clients.
