SUMMARY:

Our growth-oriented company has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our finance team as a Finance Intern for the summer of 2024. We are looking for people who demonstrate agility, committment to results, advanced technology skills, and the capability to grow themselves and others. This individual will apply their knowledge of financial principles to an immersive, real-world experience, with our dedicated finance team. The Finance Intern will assist in a wide range of duties, including financial reporting, analyzing financial data, forecasting/budgeting, and learning about accounting activities. This role is uniquely positioned to give you exposure to all levels of the finance team, from Financial Specialist to Controller.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Help develop reports and analyses to provide better understanding how financial decisions impact our bottom line. Present data-driven recommendations to be used in management level decisions.
  • Provide support for annual budgeting and forecasting processes. Gain an understanding of department trends and growth to support the forecast model.
  • Assist with establishing reporting dashboards using financial and non-financial data. Review of data to identify opportunities, anomalies, trends, and other relevant items that may impact performance of the business unit.
  • Assist with Enterprise Resource Planning implementation of NetSuite. This experience will provide visibility into the design and thought process involved with practical general ledger and enterprise structure.
  • Additional special adhoc projects to support the Finance team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working towards a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong interest in career advancement.
  • Candidate should be actively working towards a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, as well as working knowledge in Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn and take on new challenges.
