Job Summary

The Centrifugal Force (CF) Production Supervisor coordinates and controls production labor and assembly activities. The CF Production Supervisor will also support material flow and inventory to achieve quality targets, production schedules, and cost targets. Closely monitors day-to-day specific line production activities. The CF Production Supervisor will be responsible to tracking performance against SQDIP KPIs with visual management boards.

Responsibilities

  • Operations: Plans, organizes and delegates work assignments in order to best utilize man-hours, skills, and equipment. Daily management board/SQDIP. Forecast maintenance. Test stand support.
  • Production: Anticipate production problems and devise and implement procedures to offset lost production and schedule interruptions. Support planning on production order release.
  • Plant Safety: Use of safety equipment, departmental housekeeping and maintains a continual alert for hazardous conditions. Responsible for area maintenance and area 6S program.
  • Training: Coordinates and participates in a variety of training programs for employees.
  • Employee Safety: Proactively supervise safety, including accident investigation and follow-up, departmental inspections, employee training, and safety rule enforcement.
  • Management: Involved in the recruitment, training, goal-setting and performance management of production staff.
  • Plant Quality: Responsible for ensuring all plant quality systems are in compliance with the facilities QMS. Coordinates and responsible for any warranty complaints and analysis.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required.

Experience Required:

  • Manufacturing experience; ability to work well with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective communication skills -- both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team of service technician employees.
  • Exhibits the capacity to coordinate multiple assignments at the same time.
  • Proficient in computer software applications - Microsoft Office Suite - Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and balance workload with short turnaround time.
  • Demonstrated initiative to improve work processes for speed, productivity and simplicity.

Experience Preferred:

  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles, including visual management and 5S is preferred.

Education/Training Required:

  • High School diploma or GED (or international equivalent);
  • Associates degree in business, management or engineering preferred;
  • Minimum of 1 year previous supervisory/management experience.
  • Ability to use company software, relative to position.

Ownership Works Grant: When you have reached your one-year service anniversary with Ingersoll Rand, you will become eligible to receive a grant of restricted stock units ("RSUs") that will equal 10% of your annual base salary in grant date value.
