PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS: Safely and efficiently meet Performance Fuels' customer demands by performing a wide variety of Blend Plant duties.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Review batch requirements to execute gasoline Blends. Operating Pumps/ Blend manifold valves, measuring and injecting additives/dyes, off load trailers, transfer products, utilize hoses. Follow established procedures. Analyze test results and take corrective action. Utilize require PPE necessary for handling specific blend components.

Organize, authorize and oversee routine work performed by contractors and Sunoco mechanics. Write permits, gas test, pre-plan, monitor safety practices to ensure work is performed safely.

Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) Operations: Utilizing established procedures, set valves for use and turn on the VRU when in use. Respond and trouble shoot alarms. Shut down and safe when not in use. Conduct daily inspections of Tank dike areas and tanks. Climb tank steps to inspect tanks.

Routinely inspect and monitor blend plant, containment systems, piping, rotating equipment, and instrumentation.

Acknowledge, investigate, trouble shoot and react to equipment alarms. Respond appropriately to emergencies such as releases, fires, etc. Operating Rail car loading arms and jockey rail cars for loading. Operate Intelitrol grounding, vapor recovery equipment and Toptec metering equipment, lifting and fitting hoses, climbing ladders or stairs.

Processing 55 gallon drums for customer orders.

Operate a fork lift to position and load drums. Label and fill drums with products. Break and Roll full drums.

Process customer orders and BOLs. Load customer railcars, trailers and containers and prepare them for shipment.

Evaluate repair requirements and submit requests for repairs

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Knowledge of petroleum processing operations, blending systems, equipment and instrumentation.

Knowledge of Gasoline loading and unloading equipment and instrumentation (loading and unloading racks).

Petroleum products storage systems (tanks, pressure vessels, etc.). Petroleum products handling equipment (pumps, compressors, valves, meters, etc.).

High and low pressure steam systems.

Scheduling and time management.

Mechanical Aptitude/ problem solving/ customer service/ trouble shooting/ basic computer skills.

Organizing and directing contractor work.

Following established procedures.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

REQUIRED TRAINING:

Process Safety , Risk Training, Fork Lift Cert., High Reach Cert., HES&S, Blend Plant SOP, Safety Standard, Permit Writing, HES&S Elements, LOTO, Confined Space, HAZMAT.

RECOMMENDED TRAINING:

Fundamentals of Refinery Operations, Storage tank operations, Terminal Operations
