The Ultrasound Research Laboratory in the Department of Radiology of Thomas Jefferson University consists of 8 faculty (4 PhD scientists and 4 MD physicians; including 2 clinical radiologists who are also principal investigators (PIs) on NIH grants). Our lab is involved in a wide range of projects ranging from benchtop investigations in water-baths and computer simulations over pre-clinical studies to full-fledged domestic and international, multi-center clinical trials; most (but not all) centered around the use of microscopic gas-bubbles as ultrasound contrast agents. The lab also maintains the Jefferson High Frequency Ultrasound Core Facility providing support for state-of-the-art small animal ultrasound imaging for researchers across the entire university.
