B4 is a telemetry medical/surgical unit with 39 beds. We provide peritoneal dialysis as a specialized service.

The most common diagnoses seen are congestive heart failure, transient ischemic attack,cellulitis, diabetic wounds, and chest pain.Lidocaine or ketamine IV is used to treat our patients who have beenhospitalized with substance use disorder.

As a Nurse Extern, you will be responsible for the following:

• Performs specific tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.

• Demonstrates accountability for assigned patients on shift or assignment.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a Registered Nurse, the Nurse Extern will carry out routine patient care assignments, work in controlled care situations, and perform established nursing procedures for individuals or groups of patients. Qualifications include:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Nursing

• Completed at least one (1) semester of medical surgical clinical rotation

• CPR certified in Pennsylvania
