Position Overview

Our surgeons have a depth and breadth of surgical knowledge that are unmatched in the area, with expertise in less invasive techniques and robotic technology. At the Institute for Surgical Excellence, you'll be a part of a team that is setting the bar for surgical excellence.

  • High functioning Level III trauma center that is now pursuing Level II accreditation.
  • Approximately 1700+ trauma patient contacts last year with over 600 trauma admissions.
  • A robust emergency general experience
  • Ample opportunity to develop an elective general surgery practice.
  • State of the art wound healing center which includes two new hyperbaric chambers
  • Time will be split among:
    • Rounding on the inpatient trauma, emergency and elective surgical patients both on the floor and in the ICU.
  • Outpatient office setting for evaluation of new elective general surgery patients and follow-up for established patients.
  • Respond to trauma activations and emergency general surgery patients when on-call
  • Call approximately 1:5

Qualifications
  • Must be Board Eligible or Certified by American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery with added qualifications in surgical critical care.
  • A valid PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
  • Current ATLS certification (instructor status preferred)
