What You Will Do:

With decades of experience solving complex water and environmental challenges Gannett Fleming has delivered award winning work for public and private clients across North America. We are looking for highly motivated Water Quality Specialist to work in Camp Hill, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, or Valley Forge, PA.

In in the role, you will have the opportunity to couple your passion for the environment with your strong acumen for data analyis assist and/or a wide array of municipal and industrial wastewater project to support regional clients meet their regulatory water quality needs, while working in a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection and compilation for wastewater treatment projects.
  • Compile and analyze large data sets for wastewater operations parameters.
  • Participate in the planning of wastewater and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare studies, planning documents, and other written regulatory compliance reports.
  • Prepare federal, state and local permit applications, including NPDES permits, Biosolids Beneficial Use Permits, Water Quality Management Part II Permits.
  • Interact with wastewater operators to provide as needed troubleshooting and operational assistance under supervision of Senior Operator.
  • Travel throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania may be required periodically. Trips will generally be limited to during business hours.

Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in Biology, Chemistry, Water & Environmental Technology, Environmental Science or similar subject.
  • 2-8 years' experience (experience in a consulting environment or in a municipal environment is a plus).
  • Candidate with Wastewater Operator's License is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in evaluation and permitting of infrastructure improvements is a plus.
  • Physically able to perform work in the field.
  • Team player possessing strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
