Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, is responsible for the planning, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the company's global operations.


As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales, shipments, backlog, departmental P&L, and other relevant reports.
  • Identify and explain variances.
  • Lead the Company's annual budget, quarterly forecast, monthly flash, and strategic planning process.
  • Prepare and analyze key trend analysis, performance indicators (KPI) for various areas of the business.
  • Take a lead role in the preparation of management reports, as well as monthly, quarterly, and other ad hoc reporting.
  • Review past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates and develop models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Recommend strategies meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term financial objectives and acquisition opportunities.
  • Proactively identify improvements in various existing financial and accounting processes and lead improvement projects.
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet USSC business objectives including complete projects on time.
  • Collaborate with peers on all activities as required to successfully complete projects.
  • Work on other special projects and perform duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience that you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus
  • 3 or more years of accounting, reporting, and analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong background in a similar industry will be considered as well.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple and diverse projects including, analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision making, creativity in presenting various options and accurately carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with an ERP used in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Experience working for private equity owned business is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple and diverse projects including, analytical thinking, planning, prioritizing, problem solving, decision making, creativity in presenting various options and accurately carrying out assigned projects with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written communication skills, including the use of proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar to produce error-free copy, particularly composing letters, reports, and documents used for decision making.
  • Outstanding oral communication skills including tact and diplomacy which would be utilized during employee interactions, conflict management, development of relationships with internal and external contacts.
