Responsibilities

We are currently hiring a full-time Admissions Referral Specialist to join our Intake team! We offer flexible scheduling, with the option to work either Sunday through Thursday from 3:30p-12:00am or Monday through Friday from 3:30-12:00am.

Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health and academic services to children, adolescents and young adults working through a wide range of mental or behavioral health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders. In collaboration with families, community supports and other providers, Foundations incorporates evidence-based, culturally responsive, and individualized treatment interventions within a nurturing, therapeutic environment.

The Admissions Referral Specialist coordinates the admission referral and intake process for inpatient and residential, provides crisis intervention to potential patients, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, collects data to enter into MS4 in a timely manner, maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. Under the supervision of a Master's level Admissions Coordinator, the referral specialist will organize assessment information and schedule no charge assessments. This position also coordinates and communicates with the insurance company to receive authorization and precertification information. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to varied populations in an inpatient, and residential treatment setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology preferred. Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a mental health population is preferred.
