The Lead of Release of Information Supports the supervisor and manager with tasks and other daily operations of the Health Information Management Release of Information (ROI) function. Provides coverage and training support to centralized ROI team. Ensures accuracy and data integrity necessary for the healthcare organization's ROI processes.

Shift: Full Time - 1st shift -on call on weekends

Experience:

2 years of Medical Record experience in a hospital, healthcare or medical office setting required. Scanning experience strongly preferred

Working knowledge of personal computers, keyboarding skills, and an aptitude for data flow concepts to effectively problem solve technical issues. Experience implementing or maintaining computer systems

Ideal candidate will possess abstract problem solving and critical thinking skills, exceptional organization, and prioritization skills. Must have the ability to multi-task, possess strong recall and recognition skills and be detail oriented

Consistently demonstrate effective interpersonal relationships, including written and verbal communication

Ability to work independently following established guidelines and under pressure. In depth knowledge of medical record content, documentation requirements, and state & federal regulatory requirements

Education:

Associate degree or equivalent progress toward a bachelor's degree required in Health Information or Healthcare Informatics strongly preferred

Licensures/Certifications:

RHIT or RHIA required or eligibility for RHIT/RHIA exam within 12 months of hire.
