Job Description
Works with the Director, Strategic Labor Relations to implement and maintain positive employee and labor relations policies, programs, and processes throughout Jefferson Health. Supports divisional HRBPs in resolving, tracking and trending employee grievances and ensures appropriate follow-up on investigations, where appropriate. Supports HRBPs investigations, fact finding, requests for information and attendance at hearings. Participates in day to day management of the CBA as well as other labor initiatives and employee engagement activities. Supports HRBPs and management in ensuring contract compliance and effective contract negotiations.

  • Interacts with coworkers, visitors and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Supports various HRBPs and members of the management teams at the Enterprise and Division levels to conduct hearing grievances, investigate issues, formulate resolutions, and write responses. Assures consistent treatment and adherence to Jefferson policies and procedures.
  • Ability to investigate matters filed with various governmental agencies ie. EEOC, PHRC and PCHR. Writes clear, organized and accurate reports, letters and responses.
  • Conducts research on changing government regulations, requirements and employment and labor law matters.
  • Serves as a resource to managers regarding CBA compliance. Works with managers and external attorneys/consultants to provide guidance on Einstein policies and procedures.
  • Participates on the HR Readiness Team and other employee and labor relations training. Conducts assessments in various departments/job classifications to identify and recommend strategies and tactics to realize Jefferson#39;s positive employee relations philosophy.

HS Diploma or equivalent required; at least 3 years of labor experience required.

Bachelor#39;s degree strongly preferred, or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of Bachelor#39;s degree;

Excellent written communication skills required. Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and negotiating skills required. Proficient PC skills with word processing software required.
