Job Description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Sr. Software Developer to play a crucial role in driving projects forward and contributing to the team's success. The successful candidate will possess expertise in a diverse array of technologies, including GraphQL, Microsoft 365 development/Azure, React, Vite, Fluent UI, Apollo client/Relay, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Agile methodologies, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.

This position reports into our Manager of Web Development, resides in Philadelphia and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Translate project requirements into detailed technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability

  • Provide accurate time estimates for project deliverables, adhering to timelines and milestones

  • Collaborate effectively within a team and also work independently to design, develop, and deploy software solutions

  • Create comprehensive technical specifications and documentation for software development projects

  • Develop and implement robust unit test plans to ensure software quality and reliability

  • Engage in multiple full lifecycle development projects, contributing to business modeling, requirements gathering, analysis/design, and implementation phases

Experience and preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related major

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, showcasing successful project deliveries

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to transform requirements into practical technical solutions

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a team or independently

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and quality standards

  • A proactive mindset with the ability to think independently and generate innovative ideas within the context of the organization's vision and guidelines
