Westinghouse Electric Company, eVinci Manufacturing, is seeking a Lead Programmer/Analyst at the facility located in Etna, Pennsylvania. The Etna facility manufactures heat pipe tubing used in the eVinci Micro reactor. The successful candidate will set the model at the Etna facility then lead the deployment to additional eVinci manufacturing locations.

Your Day to Day:

  • Build and maintain software packages and deployments. Conduct system feasibility studies and prepare system proposals including operating costs.
  • Provide functional and/or technical leadership in analysis and development of key information and control needs.
  • Lead design reviews of systems under development and evaluate operational success of newly installed systems including performance, training, documentation, and user satisfaction.
  • In this position, a successful candidate will participate in development of long-term systems plans, design and modify complex business computer programs, interfacing between departments. Coordinate systems activities to meet business objectives through application of information system technology.
  • Lead design and implementation of major information systems projects, determining system requirements and priorities. Establish schedules and cost estimates for development work. Assume lead responsibility for first-line analytical and technical aspects of major projects.
  • Evaluate latest management and technical tools and concepts and incorporate these ideas into systems plans.
  • Provide application support in the office, manufacturing, and local datacenter environments. Interface extensively with management, data center personnel, and systems analysts to promote design strategies, concepts and standards that result in development and perpetuation of high-quality, cost-effective systems.
  • Provide consultation on business problems in both programming and analytical areas.
  • Analyze and correct issues with Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Participate in system startup and shutdown for all manufacturing facility outages.
  • Contribute directly to programming of complex systems when schedules require. Review systems procedures or programs to ensure efficient resource utilization, adherence to standards, and that specifications were satisfied from technical standpoint including security features.

A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Typically, six or more years professional experience.
  • Be available to support plant operations 24x7 as needed.
  • Experience in SAP, Ignition, Labware, Oracle and/or SQL Server database application support. Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience developing MES solutions.
  • Proficiency in .NET Framework
  • Mastery in Java, Python, and SQL with a deep understanding of their application.
  • Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Exceptional communication skills, the ability to articulate complex technical to non-technical stakeholders.
