The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Job Summary

This position will serve as a resource regarding supplier quality issues, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Assists in implementing change and communicates the value and need for change. Assures that purchased parts and assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity, and cost requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in Supplier Quality. Ability to drive results with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
  • Impacts the quality of their own work through problem-solving tools, techniques, and methodologies and the work of others on their team.
  • Solves Supplier Quality problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment with moderate guidance and direction.
  • Provide informal guidance to new Supplier Quality team members and impact the work of others within the group.
  • Effectively addresses priorities of the group and communicates complex information involving Supplier Quality with others.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Experience Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in manufacturing, with Supplier Quality experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance and key business drivers, such as gathering and analyzing data to make decisions and recommendations that solve problems and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to new team members.
  • Proven track record of teaching problem-solving and quality system management techniques.
  • Experience in influencing all levels of an organization, both internally and externally, and the ability to help lead projects with cross-functional teams.
  • The primary shift is 1st shift. The facility works a 4-day x 10-hour shift model starting Nov 1, 2024, with hours of 6:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Support Friday production and may support Saturday production on occasional or rotational basis. On call by cell and email on off hours.
  • Travel required up to 10% to 25% overall

Preferred

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Corrective Action problem-solving processes like 8D or 5-Why.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
