About the role

The role is built around developing a close working relationship with the FP&A organization members and building an understanding of the organizational processes and priorities. The primary areas of responsibility are related to management reporting and forecasting, as well as tracking of the Company's business excellence initiatives. On a monthly / bi-monthly basis, this position will need to maintain and update the management reporting and analysis of total company and operating segment performance, as well as compile the Corporate financial reporting presentation deck summarizing operating segment and overall company performance for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Additionally, the person in this role will work cross functionally with Treasury, Credit and Supply Chain, in the preparation of the consolidated cash flow and liquidity model. There is ongoing tracking that will need to be performed over the Company's value creation / capture and business excellence initiatives, with formal reporting on a quarterly basis. The position will also be involved in monthly forecasting and providing support to the overall budgeting process. As part of all these duties, there must be adherence to the Company's control systems as they relate to Company operations (capital spending and expense control) and financial reporting (internal controls and SOX).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, master's degree preferred
  • 3-6 years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize issues and proactively address them
  • Chemical industry a plus and public company experience preferred
