Position Summary:

The ideal Capitol Building Supply, Inc.'s Sales Coordinator assists with the administration and coordination of the sales team for management. Prepares, arranges and coordinates sales related events and projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication with internal and external customers.
  • Be the go-to resource for customers with inquiries after the sale of a product or project.
  • Leverage product knowledge to provide customers additional offerings.
  • Work with the sales team along with customers to drive user engagement with our web-based platform.
  • Manage and maintain data within our web-based platform to aid sales.
  • Own the sales cycle from inquiry to coordinating deliveries with logistics.
  • Support the daily functions of sales team along with customer requests.
  • Become a trusted resource to customers while being aligned with the sales team.
  • Become a product knowledge expert to assist sales and customers.
  • Cross functionally train with our Lead Generation Specialist position to fill in as needed.
  • Support designated salesperson(s).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Four (4) year degree preferred
  • Two (2)+ years' experience related to the construction industry preferred

  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Ability to bring an optimistic, can-do approach to tasks and responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Must be able to communicate over the phone 75% of the time..
  • Will occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to lift and move files or documents weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement .
