RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide immediate social service support and continued intensive outpatient case management and community referral. The central disruptions that occur with trauma exposure are best addressed within intentional, safe, and healing relationships.
• Develop trauma-informed treatment plans for each client, including individual therapeutic sessions, trauma-focused interventions, family and collateral therapeutic interventions and linkages to community support and services.
• Daily supervision of the Peer Intervention Specialist as well as weekly clinical supervision and team case review.
• Establish and lead in-services and trainings around trauma informed care for clinical staff in the hospitalrsquo;s emergency and trauma departments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Master of Social Work or Masterrsquo;s degree in a related field of study required.
• Knowledge of the target populations (clients with injuries due to community violence)
• Experience screening and assessing adults, children, and families in a therapeutic framework
• Experience with trauma-informed practices and therapeutic modalities

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
