The Strategic Execution Analyst / Sr. Analyst / Associate responsibilities include but arenot limited to:

* Research and apply critical thinking to industry trends, competitor analysis and other factors to support the establishment of corporate strategy and capital allocation priorities

* Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess market opportunities and to evaluate the risk / return profile of M&A, A&D, energy transition, and other opportunistic investments

* Create and maintain complex three-statement financial models supporting discounted cash flow and other valuation analyses for underwriting M&A, A&D, energy transition and other investment opportunities

* Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to conduct financial, technical, commercial, and other due diligence necessary to execute investment opportunities

* Develop and efficiently communicate investment theses verbally and in written materials with the ability to defend (or change) viewpoints in a collaborative team environment

* Support the negotiation, structuring, closing, integration, and monitoring of strategic transactions

* Prepare presentation materials and analyses for executive management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders

Required Experience and Skills:

* 2+ years of related work experience in investment banking, private equity, professional investing, consulting, or equity research that demonstrates quantitative skills and an ability to perform due diligence and financial modeling

* Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a related field

* Financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment experience

* An ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations

* Intellectual curiosity, significant attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn

* Self-starter with effective project management and organizational skills

* Mastery in Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* Oil and gas industry experience

* Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements

* Knowledge of data analysis and query programs (Power BI, Spotfire, SQL) and coding skills (Python, R, other)

* Proficiency with Salesforce, Quorum, Enersight, and/or ComboCurve

Remote work is being considered for this role excluding the following states: Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Louisiana, New Jersey, and New York unless willing to relocate.

Preferred candidate location: Houston or surrounding areas due to frequent meetings in the greater Houston area

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
