Weston is seeking a ProjectEngineertomanage and provide design services for engineering projects primarily being executed out of the West Chester, PA office involving both clean construction and environmentalremediation.The projectengineeris responsible for building teams of internal technical staff and sub-consultants to execute work within scope, schedule, and budget, and maintaining safety, quality, and risk management processes.

Location:West Chester, PA.(Hybrid) This is a hybrid position which blends in-office, on-site and work from home.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental engineering with approximately 4 to 8 years engineering experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineers (P.E.) license preferred or ability to achieve PE within 1 -2 years of hire.
  • Active NCEES account with ability to gain additional state licenses through reciprocity or the ability to obtain license within one year is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to convey technical presentations and participate in client meetings.
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • US Citizen who is able and willing to obtain security clearance to perform work on DoD sites.
  • OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper, OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification and CPR/First Aid Training a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to take the technical lead in site civil designs and is familiar with stormwater management and the construction permitting process.
  • Ability to perform best management practice infrastructure sizing calculations.
  • Experience in creating construction specifications related to earthworks, site grading, erosion and sedimentation control, restoration, etc.
  • Ability to work with an engineering team to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Able to complete requests for proposals (RFP), develop scopes of work, obtain vendor quotes, and evaluate for technical merit.
  • Experience with field construction, shop drawing reviews, and submittals is a plus.
  • Lead field teams to collect environment samples and provide engineering services during construction.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and ability to traverse uneven terrain.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, SWMM, HydroCAD, SewerCAD, WinTR-55, Pipe-Flo models is a plus.
  • Diligent and timely compliance with and implementation of company business practices including adherence with the Engineering Design Quality Management Manual.
  • Regular participation in local professional societies and associations for networking.
  • Execution of all work professionally, safely, and ethically according to company values and client contracts.
  • Maintains a valid driver's license and is able to travel.
  • Willing to travel (~30% of the work year), and most travel is typically within the Philadelphia-metro area while spending 30% of your time in the office collaborating with your teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $66,400 - $88,600 - $110,700
