Job Accountabilities

As a member of our General Ledger accounting group, the Staff Accountant will have an integral part in the day to day operations of the Corporate Accounting Department and have contact with other Corporate/General Office departments and manufacturing personnel.
* Contribute in completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
* Analyze, prepare, track, and input AS400 journal entries.
* Reconcile and analyze various Account Analysis's on a monthly basis.
* Prepare, analyze, and review monthly S&A variance reports.
* Assist Division month-end, quarter, and YE financial book preparation & distribution.
* Perform printing and distributing AP checks.
* Perform InterCompany Billings.
* Handle Fixed Asset accounting for the Food and CAPP Divisions.
* Assist in Other Dept. duties and Special Projects as deemed appropriate.

Job Requirements

In addition to the qualifications and experience listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* Proficient in MS Excel required.
* Manages time effectively and prioritizes completing tasks to meet deadlines.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently.
* Demonstrates strong work ethic and the desire to learn.
* Meticulous attention to detail and committed to producing high-quality work.
