The Office of Housing & Residence Life at Northampton Community College is committed to the development of a safe and inclusive living- learning community, which fosters academic, social, cultural, and personal growth. As a key member of the Housing & Residence Life team, the Graduate Resident Director will help to oversee the development and safety of our on-campus community.
The Graduate Resident Director (GRD) will assist the full-time Resident Directors in the daily operations of residential community. This position will primarily focus on the development of the Living/Learning Communities at NCC and student engagement efforts. The GRD will work with the student staff to help assist in the oversight and development of the Residence Hall Programming Board. This board is a student-driven initiative to get non-student staff members engaged in their community and help plan large-scale social events for the entire residential population. This position will also help to survey residents, get data points for the Residence Life staff, and assist with all assessment projects. The GRD works very closely with all of the Housing & Residence Life staff to build a living and learning environment that fosters opportunities for student development, growth, and transformative experiences.
This position is considered part-time and will also include evening and weekend on-call support to the residential community. This position is a 10-month, live-in position within the Office of Housing & Residence Life for individuals who are looking for an opportunity for a comprehensive and valuable experience. The contract is for one academic year and is renewable based on job performance and continuance in a Master's Program. This position includes housing (furnished apartment) and a meal plan.
