About the team

FIS Enterprise Risk Suite (formerly Adaptiv) solutions help banks and financial institutions quickly and accurately calculate their enterprise Market and Credit Risk using the most advanced software in the market.

The Opportunity

The Professional Services group is a diverse team of technical and business experts who work together to implement the FIS Enterprise Risk Suite solutions to meet a wide range of business needs for our clients. As a member of this team, you'll be responsible for the project management and governance of the implementation projects.

You'll bring extensive project management experience and leadership skills to our projects. You'll be responsible for driving projects forward from initiation through delivery, managing the day-to-day operations of projects, coordinating activities across multiple teams, and collaborate closely with clients to ensure excellence in project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of implementation projects from initiation through delivery
  • Create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Primary point of contact for projects both internally and with the client
  • Coordinate tasks among project team members, internal cross-functional teams, and clients to meet project goals and ensure project completion is on schedule, on budget, and of a high-quality standard
  • Actively manage project risks, issues, and tracking of activities to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Assist with problem resolution and risk mitigation as issues arise
  • Set clear expectations and build high morale among team members
  • Enforce governance processes, such as change control, issue control, escalation procedures
  • Present project status and decision-seeking presentations at Project-level and Steering-level meetings
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with client counterpart and client stakeholders
  • Conduct project initiation and project closure activities
  • Maintain project artifacts
  • Identify project management process gaps and/or areas for improvement, and recommend solutions

Qualifications

  • Proven experience project managing large-scale software implementation projects; financial service industry preferred but not required
  • PMP certification or Prince2 certification is preferred but not required
  • Practical knowledge of various types of IT project methodologies (waterfall, agile) and project life cycles
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management standards, processes, and best practices - such as Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Demonstrated excellence in the use of project management software and artifacts to manage projects, e.g., MS Project, project repository, ticketing systems (e.g., Jira), risk and issues logs
  • Team building and conflict management experience
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Excellent at communicating ideas both verbally and in writing across all levels of an organization, including the Executive level
  • Skills in the use of negotiation techniques with multiple parties to reach mutual agreement when there are widely differing viewpoints
  • Willing to travel 15% - 25% or as needed
