If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Natural Resource Program Specialist 2 in the Operations and Recreation Division, a part of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resource. This role will allow you to immerse yourself in the great outdoors while contributing to the future of infrastructure within our precious forest resources.
The role involves offering guidance and assistance at a statewide level to Bureau of Forestry Forest Districts concerning the infrastructure commonly found on state forest land. Collaboration with the division chief and Bureau of Facility Design and Construction is essential for infrastructure projects and their planning.
Responsibilities include providing advice, setting priorities, and overseeing bureau-wide infrastructure initiatives such as bridges, dams, roads, trails, and buildings. Close cooperation with the division chief is required for building infrastructure projects. Acting as the point of contact with the PSU Center for Dirt and Gravel Roads is also part of the role.
Additionally, the position involves organizing the annual Forest Maintenance Supervisor meeting, dirt and gravel roads trainings, and training sessions for maintenance and trades staff. Participation in meetings with the Bureau of Facility Construction and Design to discuss infrastructure matters is also a key aspect of the role.
