We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Staff Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager and will primarily be responsible for the monthly financial close preparation and account analysis. You will be responsible for preparation and entry of monthly journal entries, reconciling various accounts, assisting with the quarterly 10-Q/10-K supporting schedules within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter, with excellent multi-tasking and analytical skills, but will benefit from strong and dedicated peers in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.

This position offers the flexibility to either be fully remote or follow a hybrid in-office model at one of our office locations in either: Philadelphia, PA, Cary, NC or El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, and ensure that financial statements are in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare workpapers and journal entries to support the monthly close activities
  • Prepare and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist auditors in the performance of year-end and interim financial audits/reviews
  • Assist with footnote support schedules for 10-Q/10-K reporting
  • Support, adhere to, and help maintain strong internal control policies and procedures
  • Support the ERP migration from AX 2012 to D365
  • Assist with providing reports to the Corporate accounting team
  • Assist other team members and finance department to complete corporate projects/assignments

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license preferred
  • 2-5 years of progressive public accounting and/or relevant public or private company work experience
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge, accounting experience involving revenue and internally developed software, a plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • SaaS and software industry experience a plus
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 a plus
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with ability to effectively and efficiently work cross-functionally
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
