What you will be doing

Summary:

  • Under supervision of the Billing Supervisor, this position is responsible for billing clients for specialty logistic services provided for various complex commodity shipments including packaging and customer specific tariffs.

Responsibilities:

  • PO Research: Contact shipping vendors for assigned clients
  • PO Research: Gather PO information missing from Shipment Detail Reports
  • Billing: Prepare and sends bills and invoices/statements for customers.
  • Billing: Coordinate with the Billing and Data Supervisor to coordinate delivery to customers.
  • Data Management: Download data from carriers. Run, scrub, manipulate the data to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Data Management: Update cumulative PO files for necessary clients.
  • Fields customer questions regarding PO's and prepared invoices
  • Participates in continuous professional, self-development courses as assigned*
  • Provides updates to the Billing & Data Supervisor regarding the weekly progress of billing
  • Represents the department as needed in meetings
  • Works with Billing Supervisor to develop new PO research processes

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
