Job Description
Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for a Procurement Systems and Data Lead.

This position reports to the Manager of the Procurement Systems and Data team and will be supporting the improvement of work processes and tools to enable the Requisition-to-Pay (RTP) and Site Materials Management Process. The incumbent will support the Procurement and Site Construction organization in achieving key objectives focused on increased competitiveness and reduced complexity by driving process improvement and enabling cross-functional teams to execute within the Air Products 4S culture of Safety, Speed, Simplicity, & Self-Confidence.

The Procurement Systems and Data Lead will use data-driven decision making and structured problem solving to target and execute process improvements. This individual will be knowledgeable in procurement and site construction processes, materials management, purchasing and sourcing tools. This position will routinely collaborate with GEMTE, SBS, and Business/Functional teams to enable change, reduce waste and increase process and tool effectiveness. The incumbent will also work with other members of Procurement Systems and Data to identify new training topics required due to process changes implemented.
  • Accountabilities:
    • Develop and maintain training materials and job aids for Intergraph Smart Materials Procurement and Site Construction Materials Management systems.
    • Support new tool implementations and provide technical support to Intergraph Smart Materials Procurement and Site Construction Materials Management systems.
    • Develop the site planning module in Intergraph Smart Material software according to project construction schedule, priorities, deliverables, milestones, destinations, and work packages.
    • Set up material allocation tool process according to the construction priorities and customize planning reports according to the project needs.
    • Execute action items identified to support projects impacting Sourcing and Construction processes.
    • Interact with Sourcing and Construction team members globally to enable increased tool efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Monitor and report metrics that provide data for process measurement and identification of future improvement opportunities.
    • Coordinate process improvement and planning work with team members in other regions to ensure consistent process convergence and best practice sharing where appropriate.
    • Assist in moving ideas through the project charter development, selection, and team identification process.
    • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve Material Management application problems.
    • Develop reports, templates, and analysis output that provide visibility to areas of opportunity.
    • Utilize change management to drive results.
    • Develop and define project plans and manage them against deadlines
    • Develop and execute test scripts for project business requirements and deliverables

Qualifications / Requirements
    • B.S. Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business and/or Materials Management.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Intergraph Smart Materials and Site Construction - Hexagon PPM modules in complex environment of major capital projects globally.
    • Procurement experience preferred
    • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with leading process improvements or productivity projects
    • Strong written communication skills for creation of test plans, business requirement documents, PowerPoint presentations and end-user communications.
    • Strong oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
    • Strong planning and organizing skills
    • SAP Procurement screens experience preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance.
    • High energy with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven project management skills with ability to deliver against deadlines and manage change
    • Ability to influence others to ensure full commitment to Source policies and procedures
