Job Description

We are looking for top program manager talent to join our Global Experimentation team as we continually expand HP.com's functionality and improve the user experience. We build and launch AB tests to continuously improve our online user experience and its capabilities across both desktop and mobile devices on various commerce platforms.

As the Americas Experimentation Program Manager at HP.com, you will own the full lifecycle of planning, executing, and analyzing AB test campaigns on behalf of stakeholders in the Americas region (US, CA, LAM). You will work directly with senior business and product leaders across the Americas region to understand specific business needs and opportunities to deliver innovative product features. You will identify and scope opportunities for new capabilities; collaborate with engineering, design and business units to conduct experiments and implement your winning ideas. You will manage the experimentation strategy and roadmap; the experimentation lifecycle by collaborating with engineering, design, analytics, content and quality assurance teams to scope, build, launch and maintain your experiments. You will also analyze the performance of your experiments and take actions to further improve it.

This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to map out their experimentation roadmap, prioritize the order of campaigns, oversee the implementation of campaigns, analyze the results (including deep dives where needed), and report out the results at an individual campaign basis and overall program level. The position requires outstanding communication skills, analytics and data-driven mindset, familiarity with e-commerce, project management capabilities and in-depth experience with web analytics.

The role is measured based on the AB test campaign activity and the corresponding impact those campaigns have on key business metrics (conversion rate, RPV, bounce rate, engagement metrics)

Experimentation Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Collaborate regularly with the HP.com business, UX, and product teams to develop and maintain the Americas experimentation strategy and roadmap, across both PC and Print business lines, and US, CA, LAM (Latin America) sub-regions.
  • Define experiment requirements. This may range from new ecommerce platform features, to UI or content optimization.
  • Manage the entire experiment lifecycle from strategic planning, to tactical execution, and in-depth analysis and reporting.
  • Communicate with management and senior executives about experimentation program requirements, direction, test development and launch management, and provide metrics on performance against goals.
  • Analyze test results using web analytics tools (Adobe, Google), segment results by various dimensions (device, category, visit etc) to glean relevant insights.
  • Integrate heatmaps, usability studies, research and market analysis into experiment requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Apply experimentation statistical methods (confidence level, confidence interval) to predict experiment duration and determine statistical significance.
  • For feature experiments, support solution design and integration, define user acceptance testing, and provide post implementation support to stakeholders and end-users.
  • Lead the creation & development of product features in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Manage developers or partners, along with influencing future experimentation platform planning with vendors.
  • Keen understanding of the most recent trends around consumer web usage and experimentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is someone who constantly raises the bar individually and for the team, thrives under pressure, can dive deep into data and derive actionable insights, and can work with diverse stakeholders and a geographically diverse team. This candidate will use analytical reasoning to assess customer and product metrics, evaluate the competitive environment, and utilize their charisma and business acumen to prioritize needs across multiple teams and drive business results.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of work experience in AB testing role, program management, or product management for web sites.
  • Expertise with web analytics (Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics).
  • Strong communication skills and comfort with presenting campaign results to broader internal audiences (stakeholders, executives).
  • Business acumen to prioritize needs across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with AB testing tools a plus (Optimizely, Optimize, Target).
  • BS in computer science, engineering, business or equivalent degree a plus.
  • eCommerce experience and knowledge of front-end development a plus (HTML, JS, CSS).
  • Hands on experience with collaboration products like JIRA, Confluence, Asana a plus.
