Job Description
Job Description Overview

The Extruder Operator/Melt Technician shall, at a minimum, be responsible for the following functions:

  • Run machines to all stated parameters
  • Inspect parts to ensure customer specifications are met
  • Setup, run, and troubleshoot all extrusion equipment
  • Identify and contain nonconforming product, implement resolution, and report to supervisor
  • Effectively troubleshoot complex setups and hard to run materials
  • Inter-company communications, communicating status of production runs
  • Maintain clean working environment
  • Follow company applicable procedures, policies, and work instructions
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management

Job Qualifications

The Extruder Operator/Melt Technician shall, at minimum, have the following pre-hire qualifications:

  • Extrusion experience preferred
  • Experience with multi-lumen tubing extrusion preferred
  • Knowledge of plastic materials properties
  • Ability to understand a broad range of extrusion equipment functions
  • General knowledge of mechanical function
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision

This career opportunity is a temporary full-time position with the potential to become a permanent position.
