The Extruder Operator/Melt Technician shall, at a minimum, be responsible for the following functions:
- Run machines to all stated parameters
- Inspect parts to ensure customer specifications are met
- Setup, run, and troubleshoot all extrusion equipment
- Identify and contain nonconforming product, implement resolution, and report to supervisor
- Effectively troubleshoot complex setups and hard to run materials
- Inter-company communications, communicating status of production runs
- Maintain clean working environment
- Follow company applicable procedures, policies, and work instructions
- Perform other tasks as directed by management
Job Qualifications
The Extruder Operator/Melt Technician shall, at minimum, have the following pre-hire qualifications:
- Extrusion experience preferred
- Experience with multi-lumen tubing extrusion preferred
- Knowledge of plastic materials properties
- Ability to understand a broad range of extrusion equipment functions
- General knowledge of mechanical function
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
This career opportunity is a temporary full-time position with the potential to become a permanent position.
