Position Description:

Supreme, A Wabash National Company, a leading manufacturer of truck bodies and specialty vehicles, is seeking a Human Resources Manager for its facility located in Jonestown, PA. The HR Manager reports to the Senior Human Resources Manager. This is a very hands-on position that is primarily responsible for recruiting (heavy at times), HRIS administration and various employee relations functions.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Accountable for delivering human resources support for a key manufacturing facility, including employee relations, recruiting/staffing benefits administration, wage/salary administration, affirmative action and EEO;
    • Partner with other plant leaders to drive employee engagement and involvement;
    • Partner with and support plant EHS Manager to improve safety performance and reduce workers compensation costs; helps foster a culture where ownership of health & safety is embraced by all employees; may serve backup function in EHS Manager's absence;
    • Ensures compliance with all relevant Federal/State/local employment laws and regulations;
    • Serves as a role model for Wabash's Code of Conduct;
    • Manages and helps develops skills of the local HR team to support business initiatives and goals;
    • Coordinates and/or oversees preparation of and revisions to position descriptions;
    • Performs and/or oversees HR-related transactions; ensure timeliness and accuracy of HRIS;
    • Manages employee relations programs and approaches; proactively works to understand the work environment and employees concerns;
    • Interviews employees to gather information on worker attitudes toward work environment; partners with organizational leaders and helps facilitate resolutions to employee issues and concerns;
    • Administers unemployment insurance processes; reviews reports, monitors and reports on program costs;
    • Works within the team and cross-functionally on internal process improvement
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Education Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree (Master's Preferred)

    College Degree Major Desired: BA/BS in Business, Human Resources or a related field.

    Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:

    Knowledge and/or training courses (Preferred):

    • 5 - 7 years of HR experience, with 2-3 years in a manufacturing organization
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to draw conclusions, and present findings and recommendations
    • Capable of developing, presenting and defending the business case for programs and change; excellent facilitation/coaching skills

    Skills specific for this position (Preferred):

    • Ability to embrace and promote a team-based, high-performance, and engaging work force.
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities, deliver high quality work products and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work independently, and demonstrate a strong desire and willingness to learn new things

    Experience specific for this position (Preferred):

    • Available for work outside standard working hours when necessary
    • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers
    • Light travel is expected in this position
