We have an excellent opportunity for you to become a part of our success. We have an immediate opening for a Project Test Engineer located in Horsham, PA.

The Project Test Engineer will be responsible for overall project engineering functions for assigned projects. In addition, this position entails the following key responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
 
  • Integrate and perform functional tests of embedded computer systems and associated payload cards and storage devices
  • Perform functional qualification testing of new R+D and vendor embedded products (SBC's, XMC’s, PMC’s, Ethernet Switches, Fabric Switches, Storage Modules and associated SSD media, and other embedded systems products
  • Generate detailed test plans and test procedures for R+D products and customer board and system level projects.
  • Write and/or modify software test applications and test scripts
  • Manage assigned projects
  • Develop complex module and system level test solutions (select test equipment, develop test, utilize existing software test tools, modify and/or write custom test application code or scripting, etc.)
  • Produce product BOM’s and engineering drawings
  • Perform project engineering and planning functions, which may also include hosting weekly conference calls and maintaining Action Item lists
  • Support the debug effort on new hardware designs
  • Perform product or system level Verification and Validation testing
  • Provide technical sales and customer support
  • Technical writing (Engineering Specifications, Test Plans and Procedures, Verification and Validation Reports, Product Manuals)
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 policies as they apply to Design and Documentation
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
The ideal Project Test Engineer will have the following Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be a self-motivated team player, extremely detail oriented, and have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as planning/organizational skills
  • Effective project engineering expertise
  • Experienced with installing Operating Systems (Windows XP/7/10/Server2016, Linux, Wind River VxWorks) on Intel and PowerPC based systems, C/C++ programming, Scripting, JTAG programming, Ethernet, PCIe, PCI, SATA, Serial, FPGA and CPLD programming
  • Experience designing and/or testing PCBA’s that utilize the following technologies: PCI Express, Serial ATA, Ethernet, PCI, VMEbus, Serial I/O, Video Graphics, Audio
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical PCB schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with leading embedded computer architecture standards and specifications, such as VITA, IEEE, PICMG is desirable
  • Knowledge of VPX, VME, CPCI, ATCA, PC, PMC and XMC standards and related specifications is desirable
  • MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project
Mimimum Qualifications:
  • BSCE, BSEE, or BSCS, or equivalent
  • 3 to 8 years embedded systems test experience
