Systems Engineer

This position is for a systems engineer to support research and development projects. Areas of focus will include development of automation and orchestration for enterprise systems, networks, and applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Design
Design hosting system and application architectures employing the latest virtualization technologies

Development
Deploy and configure new equipment from out of the box to management network connectivity
Deploy and configure hypervisors on a diverse set of server hardware traditional and hyper-converged platforms
Deploy applications on a variety of platforms to include Windows, Linux and appliance deployments

Documentation
Develop systems architecture and engineering plans

Skills (Desired and/or Required):

Required
Deployment and operation of Windows Server environments
Deployment and operation of Active Directory environments
Deployment and operation of virtualized hosting environments
Deployment and operation of Linux platforms

Desired
Deployment and operation of Windows Server 2016 environments
Deployment and operation of Microsoft System Center suite
Deployment and operation of VMWare System products like vCenter, ESX, NSX

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with major course work in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Additional Required Certifications:

DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification compliance will be required to maintain this position, but it is not required for entry
