Senior Network Engineer

Position Description:

Tapestry Technologies, a leading Department of Defense systems integrator requires a dynamic, and creative self-starter to join our team. You will join a fast paced, multi-disciplined team; charged with participating on a team of engineers responsible for development, design, and implementation of data center network infrastructure at the enterprise-level encompassing legacy and future technologies in the areas of routing, switching, security technologies such as VPNs & firewalls, as well as SDN, NFV, and global orchestration of automated configuration tasks.

Our Team is looking for a candidate who can:
-Participate in the design, build, test, and integration of a wide variety of IT solutions, which leverage a broad spectrum of technologies
-Leverage experience from previous engagements and collective team feedback to develop reference architectures
-Balance architectural development with the broad operational and financial requirements of an enterprise user-base
-Author and/or contribute to technical whitepapers, executive briefings, design specifications, implementation plans, and programmatic schedules

Skills (Desired and or Required):

Minimum of 3 years of experience with the engineering and integration of large data center and campus networks and enterprise level WAN and LAN solutions

Experience with products from some of these vendors such as Cisco (NX-OS, IOS, CatOS, ACI, ISE), Juniper, F5, Palo Alto, A10 Networks required (more than one is a plus)
Experience implementing security solutions such as web application firewalls, deep packet inspection, intrusion protection, DoD PKI, and VPNs are highly desired (knowledge of one is required)
A general understanding and knowledge of the following protocols is required: IPv4, OSPF, BGP, Spanning-Tree, VLANs, IPSec, GRE
A general understanding and knowledge of any of the following protocols is plus: IPv6, IS-IS, MPLS, BFD, , Spanning-Tree, VLANs, IPSec, GRE

Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills required to include use of Wireshark and TCPDump
Working knowledge of server technologies such as Windows, Linux, and VMware is a plus
Working knowledge of DNS, HTTP, Mutual-Authentication TLS, LDAP, Active Directory, TACACS+, RADIUS a plus
Former experience within DISA preferred, DoD a plus
Experience with concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN), Cloud Computing, and UC is a plus
Excellent analytic and troubleshooting skills for problems that span multiple domains (application, network, system, hardware)
Experience with Microsoft Office products and MS Visio
Sound interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Engineering field or equivalent technical training

Additional Required Certifications:

Security Certifications such as CompTia Sec+ or CCNA-Security required
