As a member of the Ceded Reinsurance Unit within the Financial Department, you will be responsible for the administration process for claims from various SOCs to include Old Republic Specialty Insurance Underwriters and Old Republic Inland Marine.

Essential Functions:

• Monitor progression of insurance claims for treaty and facultative reinsurance reporting/updating/billings purposes, including responding to reinsurer inquiries
• Review quarterly Ceded Reserve Analysis prepared by Actuarial Department
• Reconcile monthly proof of loss billings booked by Reinsurance Accounting
• Prepare monthly and quarterly report of reinsurance recoveries billed
• Assist Manager with reinsurance contract review and approval as assigned
• Schedule and manage reinsurance audits
• Monitor facultative placements and adherence to reinsurance security guidelines
• Other tasks as assigned
• Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in insurance or reinsurance claims handling with a focus in complex liability lines of business
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, demonstrated problem solving skills, time management skills and relationship building skills are needed in this position
• Proficiency in computer skills with experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word as well as Lotus Notes
• Ability to work independently and develop creative solutions to workflow and other operational challenges is needed
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• ARe, CPCU, designations are a plus
