As the Public Health Program Director, you will manage the activities of the Division of Vaccine Operations and Provider Services. This includes oversight of program operations, including the Vaccines For Children (VFC) Program, adolescent and adult immunizations, and perinatal and maternal immunizations. You will lead the work on the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grants for the bureau and oversee the development of initiatives. You will also lead staff in ongoing and new evaluation of program activities based on CDC guidance contained in the Immunization Program Operation Manual (IPOM). You will review current journals and publications to stay informed in order to achieve the goals and objectives for immunizations across the Commonwealth.
In addition, you may be given an assignment to support the public health emergency response mission of the Department of Health. Emergency assignments could at times be received with little or no advance notice and may continue for any period of time - ranging from a few hours to several weeks, depending on the nature of the circumstance. The emergency assignments may at times be performed under adverse conditions and may require travel to another site other than your assigned headquarters for a period of time.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Eight years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
- One year as a Public Health Program Manager; or
- Two years as a Public Health Program Administrator; or
- A bachelor's degree and four years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience; which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
- A bachelor's degree and four years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
- An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and six years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or
- A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes two years of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience.
