The SWAT RN assists the nursing supervisor in maintaining patient flow, transporting monitored patients and other duties that assist in the smooth operation of the department of nursing. The SWAT RN promotes shared decision-making initiatives, at the hospital level, resulting in a superior patient experience by role modeling MLHS mission, vision and values. The SWAT RN rounds on units and connects with charge nurses and new RNs daily. Campus specific coverage for weekend infusions/ endo support. Responds to all RRT's and Codes. Provides trauma support as applicable. Identifies any issues that may be underlying and brings to managers/leaders. Offers just in time education and support to clinical team members while maintaining open communication to unit and hospital leadership

Position: Staff Nurse - SWAT
Shift: 2/4 Night Weekend Program, Saturday/Sunday, 7pm-7:30am

Experience:
One year of recent acute care experience required. One year+ of recent ICU experience preferred.

Education:
BSN Required

Licensures/Certifications:
1. PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.
3. Certification preferred in relevant clinical field
