The vital role of a Fiscal Technician provides clerical-accounting assistance with projects related to workforce development initiatives with the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act (TAA), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and state funds. As a Fiscal Technician, you will be responsible for processing the Quarterly Report of Contributions (PMRB-21) and cash receipts for approximately 1,000 municipal plans. Thorough and consistent attention to detail is essential, as you must ensure accurate entry of compensation and contributions in the pension administration system and cash receipts in the accounting system. You will also verify arithmetic calculations of total reported contributions and receipts on the Quarterly Report of Contributions for mathematical accuracy and complete reconciliation of reported contributions to cash receipts.
Strong interpersonal skills are utilized to network with municipal representatives to resolve discrepancies identified on the Quarterly Report of Contributions and respond to inquiries related to these reports.
