DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Throughout your internship, you will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls, creating detailed reports on road issues, and directing them to the relevant Assistant Manager. Additionally, you will relay messages to the appropriate staff, organize and input material data, compile spreadsheets and reports, make copies, file paperwork, and perform other general clerical tasks. You will also operate a range of office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, and postage machines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Work schedule will vary based on agreement between high school and COPA location
  • This internship may begin summer 2024 and continue into the 2024/25 school year.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirements:

  • You must be at least 16 years of age.
  • You must be a junior or senior enrolled in High School during the 2024 - 2025 school year.

Additional Requirement:
  • Letter of Recommendation: You must attach a Letter of Recommendation from your school's co-op coordinator, career or guidance counselor, or similar designated school professional indicating you meet your school's requirements and are being recommended for this opportunity.
  • Work Permit: Minors will be required to submit their Work Permit upon acceptance of this position.
  • By participating in this program, the student and school agree to use the Commonwealth's Training Plan, Statement of Responsibilities, and Student Performance Evaluation. Forms will be provided to the student upon acceptance of this position.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
