Within this role, you will function as a Mental Health Children's Services Specialist for the Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), Bureau of Child and Adolescent Services (BCAS), under the general supervision of the BCAS supervisor. You will perform duties as a team member or individually to involve monitoring and providing technical assistance in accordance with state regulations and guidelines, as well as county policies, to the assigned contracts between Allegheny County and private agencies which provide Early Intervention (EI) and State Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS). You will also provide direct information to the supervisor regarding policy development and programmatic changes for the improvement of early intervention (birth-three years) which includes early intervention direct services, program development, oversight and/or the auditing of EI programs as well as children and adolescent services who have severe emotional disturbances.
