Job Description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Key Account Executive- Food Service/Special Markets/International to join our Sales team. Reporting to the VP, Food Service/Private Brands, this role will build and develop strategic customer relations in assigned targeted channels with the primary purpose of accelerating sales opportunities across a diverse channel portfolio. This role must successfully identify, plan, and communicate proactively with strategic customers to drive sales, maintain relationships, manage trade, compliance, and regulatory procedures. Operating in multiple trade channels, the Key Account Executive will utilize an entrepreneurial spirit and sales intellect to reach key decision makers within key accounts across multiple channels while managing a diverse portfolio of brands.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility. Previous experience selling to Food Service, Special Markets, and other sales experience such as International and Close Outs, as well as managing co manufacturing customers and private brand customers, is an added plus. Candidates should possess exceptional communications and have the ability to utilize data to drive decisions and present sound cost strategies.

Key Account Executive- Food Service/Private Brands:

  • Manage business execution to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets.
  • Accountable for joint business planning, executing brand strategies, and influencing the four P's (Product Distribution, Placement, Pricing, and Promotion).
  • Forecasting and budgeting based on proper metrics.
  • Ensures compliance with standards, processes, procedures, and policies, holding others accountable to Utz Brands high standards.
  • Build strategic partnerships with customers by integrating Inner company and the customer's strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to work with, develop and leverage 3rd party relationships to maximize mutual strategic benefit where appropriate.
  • Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directions for the fulfillment of company objective and to maximize profits from sales.
  • Be alert to competitive products and merchandising practices; keep management informed as updates are known.
  • Prepare and submit special reports, acceptance of products, or competitive conditions, as may be requested by management or as observed in the marketplace or dictated by market conditions.
  • Ensure observance of safe work practices to include the immediate work area, visits to customer sites and operation of a vehicle used for company business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with a focus in business, preferred.
  • 4+ years proven sales experience in a related position within the consumer products goods industry with direct account responsibility. Previous experience selling to Food Service. Other sales experience such as International, Special Markets as well as managing co manufacturing customers and private brand customers is an added plus.
  • Integrates the findings and observations from quantitative and qualitative data and other forms of information received from sales analytics team and other sources into account strategies.
  • Strategic customer planning, forecasting, operations communications and supporting sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Responsible to manage Strategic Customer P&L reporting and analysis.
  • Interfaces with Strategic Customer for forecasting, business reporting and communications to drive company objectives.
  • Reports on trends, competitive or industry, to the key leaders of the business.
  • Position based in Western part of the country and is remote. Up to 50% travel required with overnight stays. Must be able to travel by plane and adjust to travel nuisances.
  • Develop and implement long and short-term planning goals. Collaborate on all production activities and create schedules to meet sales forecasts and demands.
