Overview
The University of Pittsburgh School of Computing and Information seeks exceptional candidates for a Part-Time Instructor position. We are looking for individuals to teach a first-year seminar course: CMPINF 0001 SCI First Year Seminar. This position is outside of the tenure stream and has a duration of one term. CMPINF 0001 is a one-credit course that meets synchronously, in person, once per week in the fall semester. Each class has between 17-25 students.
Responsibilities
In addition to teaching weekly classes, instructors will be required to set up and monitor a Canvas page, respond to student emails in a timely manner, grade weekly assignments, and provide early progress reports, midterm, and final grades in Peoplesoft. Prepared course material will be provided; instructors will collaborate with the advising team to deliver content related to advising expectations and enrollment.
