The role of Senior Center Operator 2 is a highly responsible position which functions as a director within the Senior Center Program and supervises the assistant director, part-time instructors, volunteers, senior aides, and the nutrition manager.
You will be responsible for securing speakers for Center programs involving life skills, education, nutrition, tax preparation, health issues, and more in addition to developing programs, educational activities, parties, trips, and special events with input from Center members. It is essential to maintain efficient and safe operations throughout all offered activities and programs. You will maintain prescribed books and records of the Center's financial activity, membership cards, statistical reports, and inventory of supplies.
This position also participates in escorting groups of participants on trips and secures reservations, bus and meal arrangements, and assumes responsibility for the welfare of participants on such trips. You will respond to any unusual scenarios that may arise and may have to administer general first aid treatment to clients in emergency situations.
