Job Description

Chemistry Instructor - Palisades, MI

NEXA instruction will satisfy the training requirements established per the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) for the initial and continuing training programs. Remote instruction will be implemented for technical fundamentals (CORE 2.0) and site-specific systems training using the PLANT software platform.

a. Delivery of all required classroom training including skills-based training.

b. Develop, prepare, and revise lesson plans and laboratory guides as required to support training

c. Develop and administer program written and oral examinations as required by site governance.

Who you are:

5 years' experience in Radiation Protection / Chemistry and/or training at a commercial nuclear power plant, naval nuclear propulsion plant or another similar industry and have knowledge commensurate with the position being sought (RP or Chemistry)

Coordinate all Radiation Protection / Chemistry accredited training activities/programs by providing radiation protection / chemistry oversight/assessments and technical guidance

Coordinate with Radiation Protection / Chemistry to implement and maintain accredited training programs to meet regulatory requirements

Experience at an operatingNuclear Power Plant, for 5-10 years (continuous employment at one site or same division

5 years' experience as supervisor/lead, or 1 year as manager

Must be a capable presenter with strong oral and written communication skills for developing and presenting presentations

Additionally prefer experience in training, peer review and managing a contractor work force at a US Nuclear Power Plant

Successful clearance of a nuclear background and drug screen
