While reporting to the Production Manager as the Assistant Operator, you will be responsible for assisting the Press Operator on a flexographic printing press to produce printed rolls of film, according to company and customer specifications and quality standards, in the most effective and economical manner possible while maintaining assigned work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assumes full responsibility for the complete operation and production of the press, including the quality of all printed material and responsibility for the cleanliness of the presses and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate ability to stage press components for upcoming job, including sleeves, anilox, ink, and film staged, and the ability to verify plate numbers and compare against item specification sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining required levels of materials (ink, film, etc.) to keep press running efficiently.
• Responsible for the print quality including, print position, correct copy, UPC codes, register, and impressions and accounting for all film used and/or returned during shift.
• Learns the functions of the Press Operator; the Press Assistant could be called upon to fill in during the absence of a Press Operator and perform other duties as directed or requested by Shift Leader or Production Manager.
